La Demeure Historique represents and supports the heritage players, the owner-managers of private historic monuments and gardens, in their general interest mission of conservation, transmission and enhancement.

A national association founded in 1924 and recognised as a public utility since 1965, La Demeure Historique groups together more than 3,000 monuments: manor houses or castles, abbeys or priories, workshops or forges, private mansions, gardens or remarkable residences, nearly half of which welcome more than 9 million visitors each year.

Thanks to its recognised experience, expertise and representativeness, the Demeure Historique is a privileged partner of political decision-makers and players in the heritage sector.

Within the members of Demeure Historique, the network of Audacious Heritage Entrepreneurs federates the owner-managers of private historic monuments and gardens who develop tourist and economic activities there.

By innovating and increasing the skills of its members, the network aims to develop and share profitable models while revealing the socio-economic potential of heritage.
