In the current context, many cultural and heritage venues are pondering how to become better versions of themselves, and contribute to shaping a better future. Articulating that change they want to see in the world, and how to get there is key. That’s when refreshing mission statements comes into play. Usually explaining « what they do », venues are now compelled to define « why they do it », expressing a shift from a primarily « cultural » mission to making the case for a « cultural and societal » mission. This keynote presentation will frame that mindset and give ideas to redefine a « raison d’être ».
