Products for children in museum shops are a real trend. Initially developed for a purely educational purpose (Books – Colouring – Memory), they have been able to renew themselves and started following consumer trends (attractiveness of made in France – Sustainable design – Co branding).
Instead of a simple souvenir, toys have turned into real collector items and appreciated gifts. The recent developments of the Réunion des Musées Nationaux – Grand Palais (RMNGP) with Playmobil around Napoleon or with the Louvre and TF1 License for the launch of the BarbaLouvre line had an immediate success. Impulse buying and the effect of nostalgia : a winning duo in 2021!
