In November 2021, the State Hermitage Museum has been launching a free exhibition of NFT artworks in the “Celestial Hermitage,” the museum’s digital avatar. Based on the concept of the metaverse, the exhibition The Ethereal Aether  allows users to create digital avatars and discover the artworks which are not for sale. Dimitri Ozerkov will explain its concept and comment on implications of the metaverse for the future of museums.
