Meet with Cap Sciences at the Touring Exhibitions Pavilion
Cap Sciences is Bordeaux's science centre in the Nouvelle-Aquitaine. We welcome 150,000 visitors every year to our family exhibitions and events. We also reach more than 200,000 people through our touring activities. With a team of over 50 people working in fields ranging from conception to dissemination and mediation, we've been creating our exhibitions for nearly 30 years!
We will introduce one of them on the theme of light: Luminopolis.
Although at the crossroads of several scientific subjects, we knew that it would not necessarily be a ‘blockbuster’ topic for our audiences. We then decide to innovate through form, by taking inspiration from 'Escape Rooms', these escape games in which you have to solve puzzles to escape, which were flourishing at the time.
How can we use the mechanics of these games, so popular with young people, while avoiding their constraints? What innovative ways has content gamification created for the transmission of knowledge and audience engagement?
