Meet with the Academy Museum of Motion Pictures at the Touring Exhibitions Pavilion

The Academy Museum of Motion Pictures is the largest museum in the United States devoted to the arts, sciences, and artists of moviemaking. Through inclusive and accessible exhibitions, screenings, programs, initiatives, and collections, the museum promotes the understanding, celebration, and preservation of cinema. Its building comprises 300,000 square feet of exhibition spaces, movie theaters, studios and public spaces. The Academy Museum presents: Color in Motion – an exhibition that investigates the role of color in film; Cyberpunk – an examination of the global impact and lasting influence of the science fiction subgenre cyberpunk on cinema culture; Pedro Almodóvar - an installation curated by Director Almodóvar centering on dynamic female and LGBTQ+ characters and stories that express a fuller spectrum of the human condition; and the Oscars Experience – an immersive and interactive experience that allows visitor to hold a real Oscar and feel the heart-stopping moment when the envelope is opened and their name is called.
