INTRODUCTION

Tianjin Natural History Museum is a century-old museum. its predecessor, the Musée Hoangho Paiho, was founded in 1914. Tianjin Natural History Museum is first batch of national-level museums. Tianjin Natural History Museum now has two sites, the Cultural Center Main Site and the Former Site of Musée Hoangho Paiho, with a collection of 400,000 biological specimens, including 1,452 type specimens and 1,314 first-and second-degree treasures.
