In light of ecological and social upheavals, particularly the need to reduce the digital footprint, the question arises of redefining cultural innovation. Long focused on digital solutions and embodied in products, we will explore this approach in the context of today’s discourse on innovation in the cultural sector. While this is not about opposing digital innovation to ecological and social transformation, how can cultural innovation be defined today? What criteria now determine whether a cultural institution is considered innovative?
Additionally, we will examine strategies and best practices that address the many challenges of implementing responsible cultural innovation. How can institutions create and nurture a shared culture of innovation and creativity internally, one that aligns with principles of responsibility and sustainability?
