🧒Visit of the new CITÉ DES ENFANTS (Children area)

After a year of renovation, the Cité des sciences et de l’industrie is unveiling its new Cité des enfants, a fully redesigned space dedicated to children aged 5 to 10. Drawing on more than thirty years of experience and enriched by feedback from millions of visitors, this transformation introduces a bold, sensory, and inclusive museography designed to meet the needs of today’s children. This visit will give you the opportunity to discover a true playground for exploration, joyful and colourful, where each interactive station encourages cooperation, discovery, and the development of psychosocial skills. Designed with the support of a broad scientific committee, the new Cité des enfants brings the world down to a child’s level and profoundly renews the standards of museum experiences for young audiences. The visit will be hosted by Mrs Alison BOIFFARD, Exhibition Curator, who will share insights into the behind-the-scenes of this ambitious project, its scenographic choices, and its societal objectives. This is a unique opportunity to discuss the innovative approaches implemented to combine enjoyment, learning, and inclusion. The visit will offer an inspiring immersion into an emblematic space, fully reinvented to support children in their discovery of the world. The visit will be bilingual (French / English). It is open to all curious visitors but is primarily intended for professionals working in mediation for young audiences. 🫧 Visit of the “TRANSPARENCY” exhibition – Palais des Enfants

Under the Rotunda of the Palais de la découverte, the Palais des enfants is opening a new 620 m² space dedicated to children aged 2 to 10 and their accompanying adults. Its first exhibition, Transparence, offers an immersive journey where art, science, interactive installations, and audiovisual creations come together to explore, in a poetic and sensory way, this fascinating property of matter. Guided by a mischievous soap bubble, children freely discover five environments: a hall of mirrors, a mysterious forest, a mineral cave, a luminous sky, and a shimmering ocean. Each space creates a dialogue between artworks and hands-on activities, engages the body and senses, and provides accessible keys to understanding, all within a luminous and narrative scenography. Designed to foster curiosity and shared experiences, Transparence creates moments of learning as much as wonder. The experience strengthens the child–adult relationship by encouraging cooperation, autonomy, and discovery together. You will be welcomed by Mrs Floriane PEROT, Exhibition Curator, who will guide you through this new iconic space. You will also have the opportunity to exchange with the teams about the artistic and museographic choices that bring this innovative exhibition to life. An inspiring immersion into a place where art and science meet on a child’s level. The visit will be bilingual (French / English). It is open to all curious visitors but is primarily intended for professionals working in mediation for young audiences. If your profile does not match this target group, your registration may be cancelled to ensure the coherence of the group.
