On the occasion of the Gerhard Richter exhibition, the Fondation Louis Vuitton invites professionals to discover an innovative tour format designed to renew the way artworks are perceived and to enrich the visitor experience. The Nuances and Variations drawn tour offers a sensitive and participatory approach to the exhibition, at the crossroads of mediation, artistic practice, and careful observation.
In front of Gerhard Richter’s works, participants are invited to explore the language of painting in a different way. From gallery to gallery, pencils in hand, they create a colour chart inspired by the exhibition, guided by a cultural mediator. This introduction to drawing, accessible with no prior experience, makes it possible to develop a new relationship with the artworks, based on taking time, attention to detail, and personal expression.
You will be welcomed by Ms Julie GRAVIER, Head of Cultural Mediation at the Fondation Louis Vuitton, who will share her expertise and experience, as well as the key curatorial and design choices behind the conceived visitor pathway. The visit will then be led by a cultural mediator. At the end of the 1.5-hour visit, a discussion session will be offered to reflect on your impressions, as well as on the uses and future prospects of this type of mediation tool in cultural mediation.
