Discover the Pierre and Marie Curie (Jussieu) campus of Sorbonne University through a unique, long-term audio-immersive experience. The Ar(t)chitecture(s) tour invites you to explore the campus in a sensitive and distinctive way, offering a fresh perspective on its exceptional artistic and architectural heritage.
Explore a modernist ensemble unique in France, organized around Édouard Albert’s grid and dominated by the Zamansky Tower, featuring monumental works from the 1% art scheme by Alexander Calder, Victor Vasarely, Jean Arp, François Stahly, and Jean-Claude Lagrange. This heritage, integrated within an active university campus, remains largely unknown and had never before benefited from an ambitious, structured mediation program.
The tour was developed by the Directorate of Science, Culture, and Society Relations and the Sorbonne University Library, in collaboration with heritage and art history experts. It draws on the expertise of Unendliche Studio for writing, voice, original sound and musical compositions, as well as audio production and post-production.
The visit will be led by India Rose BURTON-ADEN, Exhibition and Scientific & Cultural Mediation Officer at the Directorate of Science, Culture and Society Relations of Sorbonne University and Hélène PERRET, Director of Unendliche Studio, who will share her expertise and experience in creating immersive experiences.
The visit is bilingual (French / English).
It is open to all curious visitors, and is particularly suited to professionals in cultural mediation, heritage enhancement, and museography.
