Biography
Felicia STERNFELD is an art historian and has been managing director of the EUROPEAN HANSEMUSEUM LÜBECK since 2015. Since January 1, 2023, she has also been president of ICOM Germany and, since November 13, 2025, a member of the board of ICOM Europe. She studied art history, history, and politics in Münster, Regensburg, Bochum, and Paris. In 2004, she earned her doctorate under Prof. Hans Ost in Cologne with a thesis on the painter Georg Scholz. Her professional career includes positions at Galerie Peerlings Krefeld, Christie's (including Berlin), Im Kinsky Kunst Auktionen Vienna, and the KAMUNA Museum Night in Karlsruhe. She also held a management position at the art KARLSRUHE art fair and was director of the TheaterFigurenMuseum Lübeck.
