Biography
Emilie GIRARD has been President of ICOM France since October 2022, after serving as the association’s Vice-President from 2019 to 2022. A General Heritage Curator, she has been Director of the Museums of the City of Strasbourg since January 2024, following her roles as Head of Collections and then Scientific Director at the Mucem in Marseille. ICOM France, the French committee of the International Council of Museums, brings together a wide and diverse community of institutional and individual actors, offering them a true platform for reflection and exchange in order to address the challenges of our time and the evolving museum sector.
