Biography
Isabelle VANHOONACKER is the Chief Operating Officer for Visitor Services at the Royal Museums of Fine Arts of Belgium.
From 1995 to 2006, she worked at the Royal Opera House La Monnaie, first within the educational department and later as Director of the Friends of La Monnaie Association.
In 2007, she joined the Royal Museums of Fine Arts of Belgium, initially as Head of the Education Department, before taking on her current role as Chief Operating Officer for Visitor Services.
She holds a Master’s degree in Translation (Dutch-English-Spanish) from VLEKHO (Brussels) and a degree in Art History from the Université libre de Bruxelles (ULB).
Isabelle is also President of ICOM BELGIUM Flanders (International Council of Museums) and serves on the boards of several cultural associations.
