About us
National Association of Curators and Professionals in Museums and Public Heritage in France.
The AGCCPF—a national association for heritage curators and professionals working in museums and other public heritage sectors in France—was established in 1922. It brings together heritage professionals regardless of their professional status, specific duties, scientific specializations, or areas of expertise (including museums, heritage inventory, archives, archaeology, scientific and technical heritage, and historical monuments). Having incorporated regional associations since the 1980s, the organization supports and fosters the development of the professional community it represents, both nationally and internationally.
The AGCCPF and its affiliated regional associations organize training sessions, seminars, and study days; they participate in research projects led by their members; and they collaborate with a wide range of institutional and private partners within their respective fields. The AGCCPF publishes and distributes the journal *Musées et collections publiques de France* (“Museums and Public Collections of France”), which highlights the association’s various projects and initiatives. Through its diverse range of activities, the AGCCPF contributes to the recognition and promotion of its members' professions and careers.
