About us

Founded in late 2024 and based in Barcelona, Spain, Maldestre is a design and production studio creating exclusive objects and bespoke collections inspired by architecture, places and cultural heritage. We work from the initial concept to the finished product, combining creative design, digitally cut components and careful hand-finishing in our own Barcelona workshop. Our collections are mainly made from wood and other natural materials, with a strong focus on detail, material quality and local production. We also develop made-to-measure products incorporating an institution’s identity, logo or architectural features. Our aim is to transform the character and story of each place into distinctive, contemporary objects that visitors can take home, while offering cultural institutions flexible production for both short and large runs. Since our creation, we have developed products for Casa Batlló, La Pedrera, Sagrada Família, Parc Güell, Palau de la Música Catalana, the Cathedral of Santiago de Compostela, the Barcelona College of Physicians and an exhibition dedicated to Antoni Gaudí in Madrid. Our clients include museums, monuments, heritage sites, cultural institutions and visitor attractions. Our next step is to expand internationally and develop new exclusive collections for cultural destinations across Europe.
