About us
NEWART centre, based in Reus, Catalonia, is a 3,000 m² hub dedicated to the exhibition, production and conservation of technological art, managed by the NEWART foundation. It builds on more than 20 years of experience through the NEWART collection, formerly the Beep Collection of Electronic Art, an internationally recognised collection of over 150 electronic and digital artworks.
We work with museums, foundations, galleries, collectors and artists to address the specific challenges of digital and new media art, from technological obsolescence and complex installation requirements to long-term preservation.
Our services include:
- Conservation and collection management: secure storage in a 1,500 m² facility with more than 4,000 m³ of capacity, conservation protocols, restoration, cataloguing and technical documentation.
- Exhibitions and installation: production, installation, commissioning and maintenance of technological artworks, as well as technical direction and coordination.
- Collection loans: artworks from the NEWART collection available for exhibitions, with technical support, installation supervision and specialised transport.
- Expertise and consultancy: museum technology, exhibition automation, audiovisual and interactive systems, and equipment rental or sales.
Our conservation protocols are informed by joint research conducted with the Universitat Politècnica de València since 2016.
