Biography
Philippe Sartori is a heritage curator and Director of L’Hydro – Musée maritime de Saint-Malo (Brittany). He also sits on the boards of the Fédération des écomusées et des musées de société (French Federation of Ecomuseums and Society Museums) and Bretagne Musées.
With a European university background in cultural management and development, he worked in European affairs and international relations for several local authorities before joining the Pays de la Loire Regional Council to lead its regional cultural heritage policy.
In 2021, he joined the City of Saint-Malo to oversee the development, construction and management of the maritime museum and its Collections Study and Conservation Centre. This work includes the scientific and technical coordination of the project, the development of an outreach strategy beyond the museum walls, and the building of relationships with the business community.
